First Serve Friday: The Weekend Is For Volleyball

When Friday rolls around, we know exactly what that means: it’s time for the weekend grind, the road trips, the warm-ups, the final huddles, and the love of the game.

At Prevail, volleyball isn’t just a season—it’s a year-round pursuit. And this weekend, we’re proud to spotlight two athletes who continue to raise the bar for what it means to compete with purpose.

Alumni Watch: Colby 

We’re kicking things off with a shoutout to Prevail Alum Colby Arvensen, who will be competing on Sunday at the CutShot Events HACC Attack Fundraiser. Now representing Eastern University, Colby continues to show up and give back—this time by playing for a cause. We love seeing our alumni represent the game with heart and hustle, both on and off the court.

Player Spotlight: Johnny 

This weekend, Johnny M. from our 18 Platinum team will take the court at East Coast Volleyball’s Mayfest. A setter who’s made his mark with leadership and consistency, Johnny embodies what it means to drive the rhythm of the game. Good luck out there, Johnny—keep setting the standard high.

We also want to recognize our incredible coaches and support staff dedicating time this weekend to guiding athletes through every serve, every timeout, every rally. Your commitment is felt far beyond the court.
