April Showers Bring Prevail Power Plays
This month was packed from the first serve to the final whistle. Between gold medal finishes, personal milestones, team breakthroughs, and alumni making history, every corner of the Prevail family had a story to tell. As the weather warmed up, so did our momentum — and April quickly became a season of growth, grit, and unforgettable moments.
Gold Rush at Rise to the Occasion
We hit the courts hard at the Rise to the Occasion tournament in Philadelphia, facing fierce competition from across the region — and Prevail showed up big.
🏆 16 Platinum and 15 Platinum both fought their way to 1st place finishes, showing composure, teamwork, and trust when it mattered most. Their resilience under pressure was a perfect reminder: championships are built one point at a time.
🥈 14 Platinum battled through the tournament with heart, taking 2nd place after an intense finals match.
🥉 13 Platinum showcased how far hard work and grit can go, bringing home a proud 3rd place finish.
Across every division, our teams made their mark.
17 Platinum, 17 Purple, 14 Purple, and 12 Pink pushed through tough matchups, fought for every ball, and left it all out on the court.
While medals shine, it’s the lessons in perseverance, trust, and teamwork that set the tone for what’s ahead.
Every athlete, every game, every moment mattered — and April proved again that Prevail is a club that plays with purpose.
Player Spotlights + Big Milestones
This month wasn’t just about team wins — it was about individual breakthroughs that lifted the Prevail spirit even higher.
🏐 Nate M. (18 Platinum) captured Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, recognizing his incredible consistency and leadership. Even more impressive, he celebrated 500 career digs with Mechanicsburg High School — a testament to years of dedication, discipline, and all-out effort.
🌟 Reagan M. (18 Platinum) continued to inspire with her selection as Blue Ridge 11 Athlete of the Week, showing that hard work and positivity go hand-in-hand with performance.⚡ Five of our Prevail athletes earned recognition on PennLive’s All-Star Watch Lists —
Marcelo B. for Hitter of the Year,
Preston S. and Nate M. for Defensive Specialist of the Year,
Johnny M. and Pramesh G. for Setter of the Year.
It’s one thing to be talented — it’s another to stay hungry, stay humble, and lift everyone around you. Our players continue to lead by example.
NCAA DIII Champions: Prevail Alumni on Top
April also brought a moment we’ll never forget.
Christian S. and Sam C., proud Prevail alumni, helped Southern Virginia University clinch their first-ever NCAA DIII Men’s Volleyball National Championship.
Watching their journey — from Prevail gym floors to a national title — was a powerful reminder that dreams grow here, one serve, one pass, one moment at a time.
And the story runs even deeper: Coach Tyler, an SVU alum himself, helped lay the foundation for the program's success years ago.
Victory is sweet — but victory tied to our Prevail family is unforgettable.
Around the Gym: Clips, Laughs, and Celebrations
The courts weren’t the only places buzzing with energy this month.
April saw the launch of our Signing Banners celebrations, where we honored the achievements and next steps of our athletes in true Prevail style — with pride, excitement, and a whole lot of spirit.
We collected clips from athletes across all teams, capturing small tokens from a season filled with effort, friendships, and growth. Each clip a small, but meaningful, piece of the bigger story we’re writing together.
We laughed together on World Laughter Day, embraced the little moments of joy in between the big competitions, and celebrated the rel
ationships that make Prevail more than a club — they make it a second family.
Because while wins are exciting, it’s the bonds, the late practices, the celebrations, and the setbacks we overcome together that truly define who we are.
April reminded us of everything that makes Prevail different: hardworking, humble, and hungry for more.
From our youngest athletes just beginning their journeys, to our seasoned players preparing for their next chapters, every player, every coach, and every family member played a part in building an April we’ll always remember.
Now, as May arrives, we carry forward the lessons, the laughter, and the legacy.
Let’s keep pushing.
Let’s keep believing.
Let’s keep Prevailing.
Train. Compete. Excel.
