Winning Looks Different Every Weekend
While no championship banners were hung this weekend, Prevail athletes across all age groups proved that growth, grit, and resilience are always worth celebrating. From high-pressure semifinals to pushing through tough brackets in older divisions, our teams continue to rise — together.
13 Platinum Goes the Distance
Our 13 Platinum crew made waves this weekend with a standout semifinal performance. After splitting sets, the match came down to the wire in a dramatic third-set finish. The team fought point-for-point before ultimately falling 17–15. Their energy, focus, and togetherness under pressure were electric. The loss stung, but the performance made it clear: this group is special — and they’re just getting started.
April Fools Fallout: Battling Bigger Brackets
It was a weekend of tough competition and bigger stages for many of our older teams as they took on the April Fools Fallout tournament. With a mix of 16s and 17s squads challenging 18s divisions and deep team pools, here’s how they placed:
-
17 Platinum – 19th out of 34 in an 18s division
-
17 Purple – 31st out of 34 in an 18s division
-
16 Purple – 17th out of 37
-
16 Pink – 27th out of 37
-
15 Purple – 21st out of 40
-
15 Pink – 17th out of 40
What these numbers don’t capture: the late-game adjustments, the defensive scrappiness, and the reps under pressure that continue to prepare our teams for what's ahead. These girls are earning their stripes, match by match.
The Mental Game: More Than a Side Note
In a sport driven by performance, it's easy to overlook what’s happening off the court — but mental health matters.
As athletes navigate expectations, comparisons, academic stress, and social noise, emotional resilience becomes just as critical as physical endurance.
At Prevail, we’re committed to building a culture where:
-
Mental rest is respected.
-
Vulnerability is not a weakness.
-
Communication with coaches and teammates is open and honest.
-
Success is measured in more than stats — it’s about character, effort, and growth.
Whether it’s bouncing back from a tough loss or learning to lead with confidence, we see our athletes learning the mental side of the game just as intentionally as their skills. And that might just be the most important triumph of all.
Looking Ahead
The spring stretch is in full swing, and so is the work. While this weekend didn’t end in gold, the foundation being built across our club is real — and powerful. We’re proud of how our athletes are pushing forward, leaning on each other, and showing up ready to compete and grow, week after week.
Let’s keep climbing.
