Rising to the Occasion — and the Podium

This past weekend, Prevail athletes took the court at the 2025 Rise to the Occasion Tournament hosted by JBJ Events — and rise they did.

From championship finishes to breakthrough team moments, our athletes gave everything they had to every serve, every pass, every point. This tournament didn’t just test our skill. It tested our consistency, leadership, and connection. And Prevail delivered.

Platinum Power: 16 & 15 Bring Home Gold

It was a golden weekend for 16 Platinum and 15 Platinum, who both captured first place with dominant runs through their brackets. Their success didn’t just come from great volleyball — it came from trust.

They trusted their training.
They trusted each other.
And when it mattered most, they stepped up and got it done.

Both teams have continued to set the tone for the season, not only with results, but with how they lead. Confident. Composed. Locked in.

Silver for 14 Platinum: A Step Closer

14 Platinum left the tournament with a second-place finish, proving once again that they’re one of the strongest teams in their division. The group battled through a competitive bracket and fought their way to the finals, showing resilience and fire along the way. It wasn’t quite the ending they wanted — but the path they’re on continues to build toward something big.

Bronze for 13 Platinum: Growth in Motion

13 Platinum took third place, securing another podium finish in a season that continues to be defined by steady growth and improved chemistry. From tight rallies to clutch wins, this group continues to show heart, hustle, and hunger for more. They’re not just playing volleyball — they’re learning how to compete with purpose.

The Fight You Don’t Always See

While not every team left with medals around their necks, the heart was just as present. 17 Platinum, 17 Purple, 14 Purple, and 12 Pink all brought intensity and grit to the Rise to the Occasion tournament.

They fought through challenges.
They adapted in high-pressure moments.
They supported each other when the games got tough.

That’s what it means to Prevail — to stay in it, no matter what.

These teams continue to show that growth is happening even in the matches that don’t end in gold. The mental toughness, team connection, and willingness to go all in? That’s what’s setting the foundation for their success ahead.

Bigger Than a Tournament

This weekend wasn’t just about finishes — it was about becoming. Becoming more confident. More focused. More unified.

Our athletes are learning that rising to the occasion isn’t just about game day — it’s about how you practice, how you support your teammates, and how you respond when the pressure is on.

We’re proud of the medals, proud of the matches — but most of all, proud of the people these players are becoming.

Let’s keep rising.
